We have covered start-up costs out of our own pockets and with a generous grant from The Raymond Fund. We now face substantial and recurring costs to pursue our mission and to sustain and build the organization: Rent, utilities, printing and publication costs, and gas for our own cars to go to Raleigh, where the decisions are made that affect us all at the Cape Fear.

The Internal Revenue Service has determined that effective August 3, 2010, Save the Cape, Inc., is exempt from Federal Income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and that contributions are deductible under section 170 of the Code. Save the Cape, Inc. is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts under section 2055, 2106, or 2522 of the Code.
Save the Cape has no paid employees. All of us are volunteers.
